YT-CF series
Matex YG honeycomb activated carbon uses coal-based powdered activated carbon as raw material, which is pressed by a bee mold, activated at high temperature, treated for water resistance, and fired twice. It can be used directly or placed in a purification cabinet or adsorption bed for use. During use, try to avoid excessive temperature, as excessive temperature will reduce the adsorption capacity. At the same time, avoid high dust content and oil mist, as tar dust and mist will clog the activated carbon pores, increase resistance, and reduce the adsorption effect.

Features of YT-CF series

Features of YT-CF series

1. Large Specific Surface Area

The honeycomb structure of Matex YG activated carbon provides a vast surface area for adsorption. A larger specific surface area allows the carbon to interact with more pollutants or contaminants, increasing its efficiency in trapping gases, odors, and organic compounds. This feature makes it highly effective for air and gas purification applications, where extensive contact between the carbon and the substances being filtered is crucial.

2. Small Through-Hole Resistance

Small through-hole resistance means that gases or liquids can flow easily through the honeycomb structure with minimal obstruction. This ensures efficient flow dynamics, allowing the material to be used in systems requiring high throughput without significantly slowing down the flow. This characteristic is particularly important for air filtration systems or gas purification processes, where maintaining a steady flow while maximizing contaminant removal is critical.

3. Developed Micropores

Micropores, which are tiny pores with a diameter less than 2 nanometers, are abundant in Matex YG honeycomb activated carbon. These micropores are essential for trapping and adsorbing small molecules, making the carbon highly effective at capturing fine contaminants, such as volatile organic compounds (VOCs), gases, and other small pollutants. The developed micropore structure allows for deep adsorption, increasing the overall purification efficiency.

4. High Adsorption Capacity

High adsorption capacity means the honeycomb activated carbon can hold a significant amount of pollutants before becoming saturated. This feature enhances the material’s effectiveness in removing large volumes of contaminants from air, gas, or water. It allows for more efficient filtration over longer periods without the need for frequent replacement or regeneration, making it ideal for industrial-scale filtration systems.

5. Long Service Life

The durable structure and high-quality materials of Matex YG honeycomb activated carbon provide it with a long service life. Its ability to maintain its adsorption efficiency and structural integrity over time makes it cost-effective and reliable for long-term use in various filtration systems. The long service life reduces maintenance costs and downtime in applications where continuous filtration is needed.

6. High Strength

High mechanical strength ensures that the honeycomb structure remains intact even under harsh conditions or heavy use. The activated carbon can withstand mechanical stress, such as pressure from airflow or liquid filtration, without crumbling or breaking apart. This durability is essential for maintaining consistent performance in industrial or high-demand environments.

7. Water Resistance

Water resistance allows Matex YG honeycomb activated carbon to be used in humid environments or water treatment applications without losing its structural integrity or adsorption efficiency. Unlike some other materials that degrade in the presence of moisture, this activated carbon remains effective, making it versatile for both dry and wet filtration processes.

8. Strong Acid and Strong Alkali Resistance

The resistance to strong acids and alkalis makes this honeycomb activated carbon highly versatile in extreme chemical environments. It can maintain its performance and structure even when exposed to highly acidic or alkaline substances, which is crucial for applications in industrial chemical processing, waste treatment, or environments where corrosive gases are present. This chemical resistance extends the material’s lifespan and broadens its range of potential uses.
